Inspired by Sita’s story in the Ramayana, whereby after exile, instead of returning to social pressures, she asks to be embraced by mother earth.

Written in response to Daffodils, To You, the poem formed during a trip to Wordsworth’s Grasmere. His poem, ‘I wandered Lonely’ was taught to me by my mum for a show and tell in primary school.
